After the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary resulted in a tie, Democrat presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are in a heated battle as the next wave of contests moves to the South.
With the race so close both candidates are pandering to black Americans in the hopes this voting bloc will be the key to victory.
To get a competitive edge Clinton and Sanders are meeting with black leaders including Al Sharpton and are mimicking the Black Lives Matter message points that blame law enforcement for problems in the black community.
Sadly, the pandering distracts blacks from the failures of progressive policies that are directly tied to the poor economic conditions in urban communities.
In this podcast, Deneen discusses Clinton's and Sanders’ efforts to attract black voters and how the progressive policies they are supporting will bring more harm to these voters.
