Despite being a socialist and a long-time politician Bernie Sanders continues to be extremely popular with the Democrat base.

On a recent segment on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” the host Maria Bartiromo interviewed the founders of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream about their support for Sanders.

Ben and Jerry were not concerned with the extremely high tax rate of 92% mentioned by Sanders and they felt such a rate would not discourage entrepreneurs from starting new ventures.

Sanders also supports a $15 minimum wage and recent evidence from Seattle, Washington suggests the rising minimum wage in Seattle is responsible for employment losses in the city.

Finally, a young woman was fired from Yelp for publicly complaining about her inability to live on her minimum wage salary.

In this episode of “The Buzz with Deneen Borelli,” Deneen discusses Bernie Mania, his supporters and minimum wage.

After the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary resulted in a tie, Democrat presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are in a heated battle as the next wave of contests moves to the South.

With the race so close both candidates are pandering to black Americans in the hopes this voting bloc will be the key to victory.

To get a competitive edge Clinton and Sanders are meeting with black leaders including Al Sharpton and are mimicking the Black Lives Matter message points that blame law enforcement for problems in the black community.

Sadly, the pandering distracts blacks from the failures of progressive policies that are directly tied to the poor economic conditions in urban communities.

In this podcast, Deneen discusses Clinton's and Sanders’ efforts to attract black voters and how the progressive policies they are supporting will bring more harm to these voters.

Beyonce Politicizes The Super Bowl and Hillary Clinton Fails With Young Women

The Super Bowl was fun to watch with an entertaining game led by the Denver Broncos' punishing defense and an outstanding performance by Lady Gaga singing the National Anthem.

The only blemish of the sporting event was the half-time show where singer Beyonce decided to make a political statement. Beyonce’s performance was a dedication to the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Black Panther Party.

On the political front, Hillary Clinton continues to struggle. Clinton tried to rally young women voters by having former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright encourage women to vote for her but Albright’s comments backfired and became a national news story.

Listen to Deneen discuss Beyonce’s politicization of the Super Bowl and Hillary Clinton’s struggling campaign on this edition of “The Buzz with Deneen Borelli.”

Iowa Caucus Winners and Losers

The results of the Iowa Caucus are in and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) won the Republican contest. Donald Trump came in second place followed by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) in the top tier of candidates.

The Democrats had a very close race. Hillary Clinton beat Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) by the narrowest of margins. In fact, Clinton was designated as the winner a day after the votes were cast.

In this week’s episode of The Buzz, Deneen discusses and analyzes the results of the Iowa Caucus focusing on the elements that were responsible for the election results and how these factors will impact the New Hampshire primary next week.
